Benefits of E.C.L.O. Membership |
The benefits of membership of E.C.L.O. can be difficult to quantify, as, when discussing this with them, every member seems to get something different from it. Some use it to market themselves, some to “prototype” new ideas or presentations, some to network or develop working relationships with colleagues of like minds, some seek partners for EU funded projects etc. What is clear is that, as with any network, the benefits are directly related to the contribution made to the network.
Monthly e-learner (edited on a rotational basis by the members)
Mutually shared membership benefits with several other networks including CPDI (Continuing Professional Development Institute), EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) and NOCA (Network of Corporate Academies)
Opportunity to participate to EU funded projects, either directly as a researcher or to share in the deliverables
FREE participation in our so called, regional seminars. For example in November 2006 our public sector event in Glasgow, Scotland or February 2007, a Knowledge Management event with Henley KM Forum. The subject area is agreed with our local members on a subject of interest to them.
Preferential rate at our annual conference (€399 for E.C.L.O. members, €599 for non members). Some corporate members have used the combined intellectual resources of the delegates, to investigate a business issue they wish to address – a sort of consultancy study without paying a large consultancy fee.
Access to our archive of conference proceedings, Learner articles and e-learners (mostly of benefit to academic researchers)
Opportunity to utilise the E.C.L.O. services (website, e-learner) to share information with other members e.g. researching a subject, market an event, publicise a book etc.
Access to the expertise and experience on various HR and Learning theories and implementations from the ECLO membership
New corporate and academic members have the opportunity to request a free learning assessment utilizing the EFQM © excellence quality model and the product Saeto ©. The SAETO © product supports The European Common Quality Assessment Framework in VET (CQAF).
The assessment will be done by ECLO members certified as EFQM assessors.
