on March 12 2008
ECLO is delighted to announce a workshop jointly developed with Central Manchester and Manchester Children's University Hospitals represented by David Settle (ECLO member) and David Cain Director of Regeneration and Appeals.
They are involved in a major inner-city regeneration project based around the redevelopment of two major Manchester hospitals and the plan to build six Academies each with their own corporate sponsor(s)
MANCAT, who are responsible for post 16 education in Manchester, are a co-sponsor of each of the academies.
The event will take place on 12th March 2008 at the NOWGEN centre, which is located in the area of the city where the Manchester Hospitals and the Manchester universities are found. It is a dedicated learning centre incorporating modern, bioscience teaching facilities used by young people across Manchester and it will be incorporated into the curriculum offering of the Health Academy
Our hosts have identifies certain subject areas that they would like to explore and which are issues common to each of the six academies regardless of the academy or partner involved.
By the nature of the event, attendance will limited to somewhere in the region of 50 delegates with our hosts and their associates providing 25-30 of them. Among this 25-30, there will be 2 from each of the 6 business sponsors; several from MANCAT, the organisation responsible for post 16 education in Manchester; plus others from Manchester airport, Manchester city council, Manchester Enterprise etc.
