Forum for European Research into Vocational Education & Training (FORUM) 1998-2001

This network brings together 18 research institutions to develop a European perspective on the pressures and changes to work-based learning. Supported by the 4th Framework programme, FORUM is examining issues such as changes to vocational and technical institutions, learning in learning organisations and other work-based learning issues.

The project is led by the University of Bremen and its outputs will inform EU policy makers as well as other interested parties.

FORUM has five inter-related workpackages:

  •  Identities

  •  Culture, Values, Meanings

  •  VET & the labour market

  •  Changing institutions

  •  Learning in learning organisations

    • E.C.L.O. is involved in all of the workpackages and is specifically responsible for the work of the group contributing to the last of the above packages of work.
