7th EU
Framework Programme
You may be
aware that as part of the process of keeping up to speed with leading edge
developments in organisational learning, ECLO and its members have a
successful track record of engagement in EU supported projects relevant to
our mission (see
http://www.eclo.org/research.htm
for
details).
This includes two successful
projects from previous Framework programmes; KALIF and KITS, and with the
first call for proposals under the EU 7th Framework R&D
programme now live, we, and our members are considering our possible
participation. As you may be aware, in FP7 the strand for research into
technology-enhanced learning is part of “Challenge 4”, (Digital Libraries
and Content) of the ICT research programme (see p35 of the workplan) and
this call closes on May 8th 2007. Further information on this
area of EU supported research can be found at
http://cordis.europa.eu/ist/telearn/index.html
and the
workplan plus other essential documents can be found at
http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/ict
If you too are
considering submitting proposals and see the value of having a
trans-national partner, you may wish to consider including ECLO, in your
consortium. ECLO, can be effective in a number of roles, including
evaluation and especially dissemination. For more information about ECLO
visit
http://www.eclo.org/
and for
information about our dissemination infrastructure follow the link from our
homepage.
Those of you
familiar with the Framework programme will be aware that it supports
research involving the development and deployment of technologically
innovative ICT.
If you have innovative project
ideas that might merit an EU funding contribution, but which utilise more
established technologies then the EU Lifelong Learning programme may be more
suited to your interests and ECLO has also participated in several projects
in the predecessors to this programme :

Closing dates
vary according to strand but those most likely to be of interest ECLO
members close end March or end April.
Participation
in projects, consistent with our mutual interests, can enable ECLO to offer
a richer service to its members than is possible with our core income alone,
as does wider collaboration with organisations with a similar vision who are
not part of our membership network. If you are thinking of submitting a
proposal and wish to explore possible collaboration please contact me at
jim.jack@eclo.org
Even if E.C.L.O.
is not a partner in your approved project, it has a well established
infrastructure readily available for the dissemination and publication of
the results of EU or other funded projects. If you would like to take
advantage of this infrastructure

Thank you for visiting, you are our
visitor since the counter started in
February 2007.
